To form a solid strategy, you must explore every inch of the building. During your search, you might accidentally find an exit. Don’t celebrate prematurely—this is where your first real challenge begins. Scrutinize your surroundings. You’ll often find bizarre and seemingly useless objects. These items are vital clues to solving the game’s puzzles, so pay close attention. Occasionally, you may discover notes left behind by an unknown person. Who wrote them? They could be helpful advice from a previous player or a deceptive trick from a malevolent force.

LEVELS IN THIS GAME

Level 0

This level, known as the "Corridor," is the iconic setting from the original Backrooms photograph. It features monotonous yellow walls, damp, rotting carpet, and the constant hum of fluorescent lights. Hostile, disfigured creatures known as "hounds" can be encountered here.

Level 1

To reach Level 1, players must navigate out of the "noclip zone" from Level 0. This area introduces industrial machinery and the constant risk of a warehouse shrouded in fog and pooled with stagnant water. The lighting is unreliable, with bulbs that flicker and die without warning.

Level 2

This is the most oppressive level in Backrooms. It resembles a long, industrial service tunnel. Accessible only by completing Level 1, this stage presents a greater challenge and is the only way to escape your predicament. Players must remain calm, observe their surroundings meticulously, and search for clues that will lead them to safety in order to win Backrooms quickly.
