In Super Mario Bros., you step into the overalls of Mario, the iconic Italian plumber, on a heroic quest through the Mushroom Kingdom to rescue Princess Toadstool. To complete this classic adventure, Mario must overcome the minions of the villainous Bowser and successfully climb the flagpole at the end of every stage.

Guide to Play

Your mission is to navigate the vibrant and dangerous landscapes of the Mushroom Kingdom, evading Bowser’s evil forces as you strive to save Princess Toadstool. Victory in each level is achieved by reaching and climbing the final flagpole. A key part of the game is to collect coins scattered throughout the world. Be sure to hit the special "?" blocks, as they reveal valuable coins and power-ups. If you have time, break other bricks, as they may also conceal rare items or extra coins. After eating a mushroom, regular Mario transforms into Super Mario, doubling in size and gaining the ability to smash bricks above him. Be cautious—if hit in this powered-up state, he will shrink back to his normal form but will not perish.

• Use W, A, S, D keys or arrows [↑ → ↓ ←] to move Mario
• To jump higher, hold the button
• Use Shift/CTRL to Fire/Sprint
• P – pause
• M – mute
