Getting Over It
CLIMB, FALL, AND RAGE IN GETTING OVER IT!
Getting Over It is a fan-made homage to the wildly popular physics-based challenge of Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy. While the core objective remains identical, this version presents a completely fresh theme. In this unique arcade climbing game, you must meticulously use a hammer to scale a massive mountain. Discover how far your patience can stretch as you leverage the game’s physics to avoid utter madness!
PHYSICS-BASED CLIMBING GAMEPLAY
Getting Over It offers a quirky twist by placing you in control of a determined cat sealed inside a plant pot, a fun alternative to the original man with a hammer.
- You’ll ascend a landscape of vibrant, oversized fruits and colorful blocks, confronting the same brutal difficulty and unforgiving physics.
- Every minor mistake can lead to a catastrophic tumble, rigorously testing your patience and precision.
- The unpredictable terrain, combined with a frustrating yet deeply addictive gameplay loop, keeps players coming back for more punishment.
It’s a merciless yet profoundly rewarding journey, ideal for gamers who relish overcoming seemingly impossible obstacles. If you loved the rage-inducing thrill of the original, this feline-themed version delivers a fresh coat of paint over an equally punishing experience!
Maneuver Your Fox
You control the action using your mouse (controller support is available but is notoriously more difficult). As you ascend higher, the challenges intensify. Upon reaching the pinnacle in space, the game concludes. You’ll then be asked if you are recording your session. If not, you’ll be directed to a chat room to converse with other players who have also conquered the mountain.
Basic Controls
- Mouse movement – Direct the hammer.
- Click and drag – Swing or push against the environment.
